Guardian Home Application

A GUARDIAN HOME for dogs is a program set up by breeders to allow other families to raise and care for their breeding dogs offsite. This type of program is attractive for both breeders and Guardian families. The breeder benefits because they know the dogs that represent the future of their breeding business are being raised by loving families. And the families benefit because they get a high quality pet for a small fraction of the usually price. 

Our GUARDIAN HOMES not only receive a high quality pet for a fraction of the price, but they have an opportunity to earn income during the breeding life of the dog. We offer generous PROFIT SHARING for each litter that is born - ranging from 5% to 50%. 

We believe that every dog deserves to have a loving, forever home. It is important to us that all of our parent dogs are part of a family and live in a home rather than kennels so that we know they are getting as much attention as possible.

In order to accomplish this, we occasionally partner with families, which we call "Guardian Homes." These homes are an important part of our program which benefits everyone involved:  the dog, the breeder and the forever family.

Becoming a GUARDIAN HOME allows for you to have a our “Pick of the Litter” puppy as a family pet and at DEEPLY discounted puppy price, and in return we require your help in the breeding process.

We will periodically hold the best of our litter back to add to our program, as well as add certain dogs to our program from other reputable breeders based on the genetics they carry that we need in order to accomplish our goals of producing the best quality puppies.

We consider our GUARDIAN HOMES an extension of our family. We view this arrangement as a "working relationship" toward the well-being our dog. In exchange for partnering with us and welcoming the puppy into your home, we offer incentives to make the process beneficial to everyone.

Our focus for this program is to work towards the best possible home environment for our breeding dogs, and a mutually beneficial relationship between ourselves and our Guardian Homes.

• We offer you our pick of the litter puppy at a deeply discounted rate. This is a "retainer" fee, so it will come BACK to you when your dog has retired from our program. It is kept as their "pet price" if the decision is made to retire the dog before their obligations are fulfilled. 
• All of our dogs come with breeder support for the life of the dog.
• When the dog has fulfilled an appropriate number of litters, or has reached the young age of 5, they will be spayed or neutered at no cost to you. Our vet will always be our guide in determining when our dogs are ready for retirement.  
• We require you approved food and vitamins to maintain a high level of health for breeding dogs.
• We offer up to $500 back when your pup completes approved puppy training programs.
• We pay for all vet requirements related to breeding.
• We offer generous PROFIT SHARING for each litter that is born - from 5% to 50%.

In order to ensure the safety and health of the breeding dog, there are certain requirements to qualify for our GUARDIAN HOME program, in addition to the normal expectations we have for those who purchase our puppies. Becoming a GUARDIAN HOME is not for everyone. You MUST be willing and able to follow these requirements:

• Complete the Narrow Path Guardian Home application and be approved.
• Be willing to properly socialize our dog while in your care. 
• The dog must be an indoor pet and never left unattended in the presence of another unauthorized intact dog. 
• Agree to feed the dog approved foods only.
• All other non-program dogs in the home of the opposite gender MUST be fixed.
• Must not allow the dog to mate with any unapproved dogs.
• Provide veterinary care when needed and be willing to follow Narrow Path recommendations regarding vaccines, flea and tick care and any medications necessary.
• Frequent and excellent communication with us about scheduling testing, mating, whelping, and anything else breeding related.
• Must be willing to work with us during her breeding cycles to ensure proper breeding.
• Keeping us posted on their general wellbeing with photos that we can share with our social media outlets for marketing purposes. 
• Agree to maintain the contract even if you relocate out of the area
